Author Distribution and Self-Archiving Rights

Authors have complete freedom to self-archive and share their work through multiple channels simultaneously without seeking prior permission from Interaction, as long as proper acknowledgment is provided.

Permitted Distribution Locations:

  1. Institutional Repositories - University or research institution repositories
  2. Subject-Based Repositories - SocArXiv, OSF, SSRN, etc.
  3. General Repositories - Zenodo, Figshare, Mendeley Data, etc.
  4. National Repositories - ISJD and other government repositories
  5. Academic Networking Platforms - Academia.edu, ResearchGate, Google Scholar
  6. Personal or Departmental Websites
  7. Other Media - Books, conference proceedings, dissertations, theses, preprint servers

Versions That Can Be Distributed:

  • Original manuscript before peer review

Author Responsibilities

Before Submission:

Authors are responsible for:

  1. Obtaining Permissions for Third-Party Content

  2. Confirming Originality
    • Original unpublished work
    • Not under review at another journal
    • No plagiarism or duplicate publication
  3. Obtaining Approval from All Co-Authors
    • All authors approve manuscript content
    • Agree on authorship order
    • Agree to publication in Interaction
  4. Ensuring Data Accuracy
    • Data is accurate and verifiable
    • Not manipulated or altered
    • Methodology transparently explained

Declaration: By submitting a manuscript, authors declare they have full rights to publish and accept full responsibility for copyright compliance.

Interaction is not liable for copyright infringement by authors.

Post-Publication Copyright Issues

If copyright issues arise after publication, Interaction may:

  1. Issue Correction - For minor attribution errors
  2. Publish Erratum - For more substantial errors
  3. Issue Expression of Concern - If investigation is ongoing
  4. Retract Article - For serious violations (plagiarism, ethics violations)
  5. Remove Article - Only in extraordinary cases

Authors will be notified before action is taken and given opportunity to respond (typically 14 days).

Use of Articles by Third Parties

Under CC BY 4.0 license, third parties may use articles for:

  • Educational Purposes - Teaching, student distribution
  • Research Purposes - Citation, meta-analysis, systematic reviews
  • Commercial Purposes - Commercial publications, translations (with proper attribution)
  • Knowledge Dissemination - Social media, newsletters, presentations

Requirement: All uses must provide clear attribution and not apply additional restrictions.
